Description
CAPTION: Tampa, Fla., Jan. 27 - Johnny Temple and His 'Best Trophy' - Cleveland Indians second baseman Johnny Temple, who has a room full of game mementos in his home here, poses with "my best trophy of all," a Minature Schnautzer puppy named Schnoopy. Temple, known as a hustler on the diamond, ran into bad luck last season when he suffered a broken ankle which restricted him to 96 games and dropped his batting average from .300 to .268. He is highly in favor of the American League expanding to 10 teams. "It will give us a chance to play longer and should lengthen our careers. My ankle is good now and I'm ready," he said..

Photo is dated 1/31/1961 and measures 2.75 x 4.75 inches.
