Caption: Harry Steiger, Free Press photographer who was felled in the fighting the first day of the Ford strike, Wednesday became the first photographer to be admitted to the Rouge Plant for the purpose of picturing damage there which the management attributes to sabotaging strikers. Here James Howley shows how a valve grinding machine used in the production of Pratt & Whitney aircraft engines was smashed.
