Stagg, who won fame at Chicago University, is, at VV, the dean of football coaches; he still turns out winning elevens at the College of the Pacific, Stockton, Calif. The white haired oldster plays himself in the picture, in the company of Jim Thrope, Howard Jonen, Glenn (Pop) warner and other eminent gridiron mentors.
