In the backwaters of Virginia lies the mysterious pond and through its swampy pools is said to march the head of Rufus McCooter, an escaped convict whose head was separated from its body by an alligator. Eric Shea is hearing the story for the first time in the picture at left from Ike Eisenmann (left) and Rex Corley (right). At right, Shea is surprised by Moses Gunn who plays the mysterious swamp dweller Sharbee who, it is rumored, knows more than anyone about McCooter. "The Secret of the Pond" will air on NBC. Also starring are Anthony Zerbe and John McLiam.
