MURPHY AND HER FRENCH POODLE CLARINDA.Thomas Francis Murphy (December 3, 1905 – October 26, 1995) was a federal prosecutor and judge in New York City.Murphy was born in New York. He attended Georgetown University and Fordham Law School, from which he graduated in 1930. From 1942 to 1950, Murphy served as an Assistant United States Attorney or federal prosecutor in Manhattan and was best known as the prosecutor in the two perjury trials of Alger Hiss. In 1950-1951, Murphy served briefly as New York City Police Commissioner.(WIKIPEDIA)
